Hi! I'm Becca the owner of Hartbeeps Royston, Baldock, Saffron Walden and surrounds. (We also run sessions in Meldreth and Linton)
I first fell in love with Hartbeeps when I brought my son Marley along when he was just 3 weeks old!! We both fell in love with the magic and imagination of Hartbeeps (and I couldn't get enough of the cute outfits!!).
I've always loved the idea of performing , Drama was my favourite and best subject at school, and since my teens I've loved to sing. I started off at karaokes with my friends. I was always too scared to sing on my own until one day a friend unbeknown to me mimed along with me and then told me at the end of the song. From that day I caught the singing bug, and for the past few years I've been performing solo gigs at small venues and am also part of a local Choir called The Royston Roses.
I have had a varied career, from my first job as a assistant in a bakery to a care assistant in a dementia ward, a qualified massage therapist plus many years as a qualified chef specialising mainly in pastry and desserts. With these skills (when I'm not Imaginating) I have my own small sideline baking business "Becca's Bake Away" baking celebration cakes and treats including cupcakes and chocolate brownies. I must say though nothing has offered me the fun and fulfilment of Hartbeeps.
I am so excited to get back to running sessions. Although they might be a little different since Lockdown, the magic and smiles stay the same!.
Taking over from Kelly will mean I have massive shoes to fill as she has been a fantastic inspiration and a massive part of my own Hartbeeps journey, but I promise to be the best I can be and to carry on the magic and wonder of Hartbeeps and to do her and you all proud!
Hi I'm Lil,
I had always wanted to try Hartbeeps for myself with my daughter but life and moving house got in the way. So when I saw an 'Imaginator' role being advertised it seemed the perfect opportunity to finally experience it. I had had my second child and wanted to do something for me!
I have previously studied dance at University so felt I had some rhythm and movement that might come in handy. After reading the application process I set up my camera and recorded over 30 takes of Old McDonald had a farm using my children's toys as props. I never thought I would be successful but from the moment I met Kelly and Becca I knew I wanted to be part of the magical world of Hartbeeps! I love running the sessions and seeing the happiness that they bring.
