Since my daughter was born in the Summer of 2022 (at the time, the hottest day on record!), I have uncovered the wonderful world of Hartbeeps and it completely transformed our lives. Seeing first-hand how incredibly important the classes are for the early years development of young children and the amazing support they provide for parents / carers really sets Hartbeeps apart from any other baby / toddler class. So when the opportunity to become a franchisee presented itself, I simply could not let it pass me by and I purchased the Peterborough franchise at the end of 2023, and expanded to include Stamford in 2024.

Like many other Hartbeeps franchisees, it was a complete career change for me. But a change that has sprinkled me with the magic of a fulfilling job and a positive work-life balance. With a previous background in scientific communications, I fell in love with the science behind everything we do and the meaningfulness behind each and every class, providing a platform for early learning and creativity that supports the cognitive, emotional and social development of little minds.

When I had my first son in 2018 I spent so much time trying to find different groups that would introduce him to amazing things like sensory play, sign language, music and movement. At that time there was no Hartbeeps in my local area but after having my second son in 2023 I attended a taster class and fell in love with this world that championed learning through play.  When the opportunity to become part of this Hartbeeps bubble came up I couldn't pass it up!

As a neurodiverse person myself I have a special interest in finding ways to adapt so that everyone is included, something that the Hartbeeps values encompass. I couldn't think of anything I would rather do than help little minds to grow in such a fun supportive environment.

My parenting style has always been centred around attachment parenting and I am working towards my peer support accreditation for infant feeding. This has given me a really strong understanding of how important these groups are for us parents too, and I love chatting with all the grown ups raising small humans each week at our classes.

I am a first time mummy myself who has attended Hartbeeps since my son was 5 months and fell in love with classes from the very first session. We still now regularly attend as it’s something we love to do together and have our time. Because of this I know what it’s like to be a first time parent joining the class and know the positive effects it can have on the parent, the child and the bonds created.

After working in childcare for over 10 years, in nursery settings, I have learnt a lot over my career. It’s super important to me to provide a safe space and environment for babies and children to flourish and feel safe to express themselves and thrive. So when the opportunity arose to become a Hartbeeps imaginator myself I had to jump at the chance! Being a part of the magic and fun that is created in the world of Hartbeeps , whilst encouraging children to explore their imaginations and creative sides and providing them with all the fun props and tools to do so is just simply a gift.
