Welcome to the wonderful world of Hartbeeps! Here you'll find details of our classes in Newbury and Thatcham.
But what is Hartbeeps? We get asked this a lot, and it can be a little difficult describing our classes in one sentence, as we have so much going on!
Yes, our classes are fantastically fun! We sing songs, have a bit of a boogie, meet friendly puppet characters, play with sparkly parachutes, and yes, the rumours are true - we do dress up in silly outfits! But the best thing (in my opinion) about our classes is that no matter what you have going on at home/work or in your personal life, you get to spend precious time playing with your child. I think we can all agree that life sometimes gets in the way of this.
We have classes from birth right up to school age; younger siblings are very welcome to come along with their older brothers and sisters. We also love to have older siblings come along to any sessions in the school holidays!
As all children develop at their own pace, our classes are specified for developmental stage rather than a specific age. And amongst all the fun, each and every activity in our classes has a purpose.
Come journey down the rabbit hole with us as we go on a musical, magical adventure designed to help our children learn and grow.
P.S., don't forget to check out the testimonials below from some of our lovely local customers!
We visit a number of early years settings in the Newbury and Thatcham area with our bespoke nursery programme. These sessions offer a creative bolt-on to their existing curriculum and have been structured around the four key themes of the EYFS. To find out more, or to make an enquiry about Hartbeeps visiting your nursery or preschool, please email email@example.com.
Children with additional needs
We run weekly sessions at the Old Bluecoat School in Thatcham, and also Thatcham Parish Hall. Both of these venues are charity run and we are proud to be able to contribute towards the preservation of these two historic buildings.
We also run weekly sessions at the Newbury Rugby Club on Wednesday mornings.
Other bits & bobs
In early 2020, we were sharing the magic of Hartbeeps with another generation as we went on tour around some of our local care homes! The elderly residents absolutely love to see the little ones having fun and these sessions were a great experience to take part in. We hope to have these up and running again once it’s safe to do so.
In 2019, we visited one of the lovely parent and child groups organised by Home-Start West Berkshire and gave local preschools, primary schools and local children's charities gift vouchers for free sessions to use as raffle prizes at their fundraising events throughout the year. We also had our first visit to Bayford House Care home in Stockcross for a Christmas party session with the residents. We all stayed for tea and biscuits after the session and everyone had a wonderful time!
In 2018... We ran a session with a post natal depression support group and a Teddy Bears Picnic for a local playgroup, and were thrilled to be involved in a 12 week innovative pilot scheme called Babies and Buddies, which was a project bringing together three generations in order to combat loneliness and isolation. This took place in a care home in Newbury and was coordinated by Home-Start West Berkshire. Each week for 12 weeks, mums, babies and residents took part in activities together as well as getting to know each other over a cup of tea.
