Meet the team

Grace McCrossen

I’m Grace - proud owner of Hartbeeps Mid Sussex & Surrounds! I’m the one you’ll see in classes, as well as the person behind the screen answering emails and questions.

I’ve been running Hartbeeps Mid Sussex since 2023, but I’ve been part of the Hartbeeps family since 2018. Before this, I had the joy of being a Primary School Teacher specialising in Early Years, which really helped me realise that I truly have the best job around.

A little about me…

I am firmly Team Tea
There is always a song stuck in my head. I will sing confidently… accuracy optional!
I own more props and random costume pieces than anyone probably should.
I still get just as excited about bubbles as the babies and toddlers do!

If I’m honest, I rarely switch off from Hartbeeps! When I do, I love nothing more than spending time with Mr Hartbeeps, who has now accepted that the spare room is officially my storage space for all the kit… and that most knocks on the door are either an Amazon delivery or Nick - our friendly DPD/Evri driver!

I’ve recently become an auntie to the most beautiful little light in our lives, and seeing the world through her eyes is an absolute joy. It’s also given me an even greater appreciation and respect for all you wonderful parents, carers, and families.

Fun facts

I have a degree in Dance from many moons ago and used to compete on the Latin and Ballroom scene. Snacks are life, and I’m a classic millennial with a deep love of nostalgia! I adore documentaries, can remember lyrics to songs from growing up… but regularly forget what I did yesterday.

There is nothing I love more than watching your little ones grow in confidence, join in for the first time, or absolutely beam when their favourite song starts. Being part of those early moments is such a privilege.

Coming each week has without a doubt got me through my first year of motherhood! I love Grace's energy and she always makes it so much fun for the adults as well as the babies. Thank you so much for the fun and joy you've brought to Evie's first 6 months. It really feels like she's grown up with you and her trips to Hartbeeps. They were also my first trips out with her when she was just 4 weeks and it really boosted my confidence to do more and more with her. So a big thank you from both of us! Hannah and Evie

Just a little shout out to Grace who runs the Mid Sussex Hartbeeps sessions. I recently took my 5 month old granddaughter to a baby bells session in Newick. I loved the fact that Grace nurtures the mummy's as well as the babies. The session included baby massage, sensory toys as well as singing and lots of interaction with the babies. Do I recommend these sessions, yes I do 100%. Yvette and Lottie
