Being a busy Mum of two adorable little girls as well as a part time childminder, it felt like a natural progression to further expand my work with children now that my youngest has flown the nest (to pre-school I mean!). With this in mind I started to look for new career opportunities to use my new found time wisely and find something to fit around my family commitments. I knew it would have to be something out of the ordinary and something that indulged my fascination with child development.
As a childminder, I frequently call on the power of music, whether it be to enhance imagination, create a sense of belonging at circle time, burn off pent-up energy or just to calm the soul when things get a bit crazy! So when I came across Hartbeeps everything began to fall into place. This is not just another music group, Hartbeeps combines music with a wonderful sensory experience that takes children on a magical, theatrical journey at every session.
The wonderful thing is, that it fits in so cleverly with the Early Years Foundation Stages which has become the cornerstone of my work with children. No other pre-school activity group which I have encountered incorporates this initiative in so many
different ways whilst creating such a magical environment. Every session ensures that children are learning through play in the most positive way possible.
I was impressed so far, but of course, the final decision had to be down to the important little people in my life. So, armed with a very opinionated 3 year old, I made my way to Watford where we both experienced our first Happy House session. I can honestly say that I have never seen her so captivated! Not only by the wonderful music, but also by the atmosphere, the story, the lovable characters and the icing on the cake...the cuddly, snuggly, cosy wind down bit at the end. She clearly adored
every second which ultimately made my mind up for me.
I'm so excited to be bringing the Hartbeeps vibe Eastwards....let the fun begin!!!

March 2011 Dawn says:
'My kids absolutely love this music and sensory group. I take my two children (3.5 and 21months) and they both get something out of the class. Its so different to other music classes as its so interactive and full of props which the kids love. My twos favourite was the cooking one where they got to break pretend eggs (with pretend yolks and do lots of stirring and shaking etc) Plus i get to be invovled to which is a nice change as it gives us something to do as a "family" rather than the standard sit and singing group. I can't recommend this group enough and with the sibling reduction it makes it a cheap but fun afternoons activity'!
Thank you Dawn....
